My name is Heather Nicole Smith and I’m an MFA candidate at the DigiPen Institute of Technology. I’m an aspiring technical artist studying 3D digital art, rigging, scripting, and game engines, focusing on the Unreal Engine 4.

This blog is meant to document the journey of working on my thesis, currently given a temporary name called “Roll Character”. The main goal of the project is to study techniques in facial animation and help contribute to the quality of facial animation in games, particularly for smaller companies with limited resources.
